Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself

What do you see when you look in the mirror? Pain? Suffering? Fear? Beauty? Fire? Authenticity?

Sometimes we spend WAY too much time critiquing ourselves from the OUTSIDE IN. We constantly focus on those external bits of flesh, hair, teeth, blemishes and other perceived IMPERFECTIONS. I see this exact behaviour play out EVERY SINGLE DAY at the gym. Although the externality of our physical bodies are our projection to the world of how we WANT or think we HAVE to look, when was the last time you looked yourself in the eyes and TRULY took the time to stare deeply at the person you are INSIDE?

I am certainly guilty of checking myself out in the mirror in a typical shallow way but I really do feel that my external self is an authentic projection of the soul who lies within – experimental, confident, vulnerable, brave, driven and wild!

I CHALLENGE you to take a moment today to look yourself in the eyes, in your own reflection, and tell that person you see staring back that you ARE perfect, wholesome, complete, loved and ENOUGH!
