As part of my Healthy Habit Hierarchy, in essence, a reboot is the first phase of my clients’ commitment to change. For many people embarking on a journey to lifelong wellness, it is by far the most challenging yet most important and rewarding step. This short phase ensures that your system is rebooted and that you’re creating a level playing field. You can then make long-term improvements to your mindset and movement.
If you are not familiar with a reboot, it is vital to first understand what’s involved in this type of process. Essentially a detox, the primary goal behind a reboot is to bring your body back to a baseline using a simplified low-inflammatory diet that is rich in nutrients. This process helps us purge substances from the body that might be increasing the toxic load on our system, as well as helping to address our carbohydrate intake.
